Goodly numbers of wintering shorebirds and waterfowl can still be seen in Sonoma County during February, but they will gradually be moving northward. New birds to look for this month are the Allen's Hummingbird and growing numbers of Tree Swallows. Hawks and owls will begin courting and other early breeding activities.
