Exploring Armstrong Woods, Sunday, December 6
Joyce Bocci, volunteer coordinator and lifelong lover of nature will show us the redwoods and the bugs, birds, animals and plants that live with them. Wear layers and bring a lunch. We meet at the visitors center in the Armstrong Redwoods parking lot at 10 AM and will adjourn around noon.

Directions: Take River Road to Guerneville and turn right on Armstrong Woods Road to the park. For required reservations please call Elham at 573-7183.

Bat Day!, Saturday, January 9
Bats from the Bat Conservation Fund, accompanied by Patricia Winters, meet with Pee Wee Audubon face to face on Saturday, January 9, from 1 to 3 PM. Patricia will tell us about the bats' lives and their interactions with other creatures. There will be bat games and activities. Meet in the Forum Room of the Central Library, at the corner of Third and E Streets, downtown Santa Rosa. Reservations required! Call Elham at 573-7183.

Owls at Bird Rescue Center, Saturday, January 23
On Saturday, January 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Pee Wee Audubon will meet at the Bird Rescue Center for a special Owl Program. Naturalist Diane Hichwa will introduce us to some of the Center's resident owls, and then lead us on an evening hike in hopes of discovering owls in the wild. Be sure to wear warm clothing and bring a flashlight. Reservations are required and attendance is limited, so call Elham at 573-7183 to reserve your space.

Directions: The Bird Rescue Center is off Chanate Road, across from Santa Rosa Community Hospital, on County Farm Road. Follow the one-way circle three-quarters of the way around, and you will see the Bird Rescue Center sign on a quonset hut to your right.
