The following activities and events are not sponsored by Madrone Audubon, but may be of interest to our members.

"Snow Leopard Conservation," Dr. Rodney Jackson, Conservation Director, International Snow Leopard Trust. The annual natural history lecture honoring retired instructor (and Madrone past president) Peter Leveque, Friday, October 9, 7 PM, Newman Auditorium, Emeritus Hall, Santa Rosa Junior College.

September 12: "The Mayacamas Preserve," a hike led by Peter Leveque and Joannie Dranginis; also, "Art on the Audubon Preserve," an outdoor drawing and painting expedition led by Kate Sader.

September 20: "The Estero Americano," a hike and discussion; also, "The Petaluma Baylands," an informational auto safari.

River Appreciation Festival, Saturday, September 19, 3 to 6 PM, Hop Kiln Winery, Westside Road, Healdsburg. Wine tasting, barbecue, music, and fun in a lovely setting.
