Nest Boxes at the Sanctuary

Volunteers are needed to help set up and monitor bluebird nest boxes at the Mayacamas Mountains Sanctuary this spring. The plan is to set out about 50 boxes, five each in 10 different locations. Peter Leveque, who is coordinating the effort, will need 10 teams of two or three people each, to help set up the boxes and and monitor them every other week through the breeding season. It's a good reason to visit this lovely sanctuary near Healdsburg during the most beautiful and active part of the year. The project will start with a "bird-box raising" and picnic at the Sanctuary on Saturday, February 21. For more information, please call Peter at 542-8946.
