Summer Wastewater MeetingsA series of public "study sessions" on wastewater alternatives has been scheduled by the Santa Rosa City Council and Board of Public Utilities. "The purpose of the meetings," they say, "is for the BPU and City Council to hear input from the public and begin to look at which alternative or components should be selected. We are encouraging the public to come with ideas on a particular preferred solution or component of a solution." This is an opportunity for everyone who is interested to learn more about this important and controversial issue. All meetings will be held at the Finley Community Center, 2060 West College Avenue, Santa Rosa, on Thursdays beginning at 1:30 PM. The topics will be South County Alternative (July 24), West County Alternative (July 31), Geysers Alternative (August 7), River Discharge Alternatives (August 14), Discussion of Possible Solutions (August 21), and Economics of the Possible Solutions (September 4). |
