An Egregious Omission How could we have failed to list Ernestine Smith among the charter membersof Madrone Audubon who are still active in the chapter? Good question. Heartfeltapologies to Ernie, and to the many people who are aware of her tremendousongoing contributions and have pointed out the error. This means that after30 years, at least 11 of the original 100 are still members of Madrone andthe National Audubon Society.
