Old Audubon Magazines Piling Up? | PeeWee at Chanslor RanchPee Wee Audubon has been invited to visit the Chanslor Ranch near Bodega Bay onSaturday, October 26. From 10 AM to 1 PM we'll explore the wonders of thisbeautiful coastal ecological preserve with naturalist Daniel Kahane. There arebrackish and fresh water marshes and riparian areas teaming with bird andaquatic life. This 400-acre wetlands wildlife project is home to osprey,eagles, bob cats, three-spined stickleback (who can guess what this is?), andthe southern pond turtle. Be prepared to hike about a mile.Bring binoculars if you have them and wear mud shoes or shoes that can get wetand bring a change of socks and shoes. Dress in layers including a short andlong-sleeved shirt, a jacket (like a fuzzy hooded zippered one), and awindbreaker for weather that may be variable. Also bring a picnic lunch,liquids, and a snack. Directions: Chanslor Ranch is on Highway 1, just one mile north of thetown of Bodega Bay.
