Environmental Educators Conference

The San Francisco Estuary Institute and the Department of Biological Sciences/School of Science at California State University, Hayward, are holding theirannual educators conference, Teaching About Water Pollution Prevention:Students Taking Action, on Saturday, October 26, 1996. This conference willfeature more than twenty lectures and workshops. Optional field trips will alsobe offered on Sunday, October 27, Saturday, november 2, and Saturday,November 9. The goals of the conference are to increase educators'understanding of watersheds, provide them with tools to effectivelyand accurately teach about aquatic ecosystems, and to spark teachers' interestin incorporating these issues into their classrooms.
