Photo and Text by Norris Dyer ![]() A juvenile Northern Harrier. This 18" raptor can often be seen coursing low over fields and marshes for small birds and mammals. It was formerly called the "Marsh Hawk". It has excellent vision but its owl-like facial disc also allows it to hunt efficiently by sound. |
