Dear Friends,

It's that time of year again! You are invited to participate in National Audubon's 112th Annual and Madrone Audubon's 45th Annual Western Sonoma County Christmas Bird Count on Sunday, January 1, 2012. The count will run from approximately 7 am to 4 pm, depending on the leader and count area to which you are assigned. We are reinstituting the post-count potluck dinner and that along with the reports tally will be held at the Sebastopol Community Center.

We hope you will join us! If so, please mark your calendar for Sunday, January 1st and complete the online registration form or send in your written invitation form by December 1, 2011.

Remember that a $5 fee is collected by your count leader on the morning of the count. This helps defray the cost of publishing the Christmas Bird Count edition of American Birds, which each participating household will receive a copy of next October. There is an exception to the fee if you participate in more than four counts. Please visit National Audubon's website at audubonsociety.org for details.
